when one (man) plus one (woman) does not equal three (in a family). The grapefruit chronicles is a blog about the ins and outs of life when trying to conceive is harder than you thought.

Thank you

Thank you

This is a post filled to the brim with gratitude. I sometimes find myself overwhelmed by the positive energy and support we have gotten since opening up about our infertility. I am in awe of and so thankful for it all. So here is a start at expressing just how much it means to me/us…

Thank you

…to my husband for keeping us laughing even through the hard stuff (see: Bloopers)

…to our families for being there with a hug, word of encouragement, space or distraction (and sometimes a really good vegan chocolate cookie ;) ) depending on the day/mood/recent test results

…to literally everyone we have shared this with for the prayers, words of encouragement, trinkets of luck, and good vibes each and every one of you is sending

…to friends who have been so unbelievably thoughtful in sharing their pregnancy announcements with me - you 1,000% did not have to do any of it, but I am so grateful for how each of you has approached it - I’m crying again just thinking about how much it’s meant to me

…to my colleagues for moving meetings at the last minute, covering for me when I had to come in late after an appointment, and continuing to push me at work and take my mind off the crazy fertility journey

…to everyone who has reached out to share their own story of infertility since learning about ours

…to everyone who checks in on my husband or I to see how we’re doing or just say hi

I'm back!

I'm back!
